Baking salmon in the oven is by far the best and easiest way to prepare salmon filets. You hardly have any dishes, you don’t need to clean the stove and the whole process takes only 15 minutes!

Preparations
Preheat the oven to 200°C or 400°F. Line the baking sheet with tin foil and brush it with a teaspoon of oil.
Season the Salmon
Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and carefully pat them dry with some paper towels. Place them skin side down on the baking sheet, drizzle a little oil (about a half a teaspoon per fillet) and spread it with your fingers on the surface and sides of the fillet, then season to taste.
Bake Salmon
Place the salmon in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness and size of the fillets. The fish is ready when the flesh still has a nice pink color, it is still slightly glazed in the center and the salmon effortlessly falls apart into its individual muscle segments as soon as you poke it with a fork. Alternatively, the temperature can be checked using a thermometer. The salmon will be perfect at a temperature of 52 to 54°C or 125 to 129°F.

*If you only have a frozen salmon fillet on hand, you can bake it in the oven as well. First rinse the frozen fish under cold water to free it from ice crystals and then prepare it as described above. It will take about 10 minutes longer in the oven.Nutritional values per 100 grams:
