Christmas Oats

two healthy christmas oatmeal versions with gingerbread and speculoos

Zutaten
  

  • 60 g oats I recommend to use half quick cooking and half rolled oats
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • 50-60 g egg white or some non-dairy milk

for the gingerbread oatmeal

  • 15 g vegan chocolate protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon gingerbread spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 10 g hazelnut butter
  • topping of your choice e.g. pomegranate seeds and raspberries

for the speculoos porridge

  • 15 g vegan protein powder vanilla flavor
  • 1 teaspoon speculoos spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 10 g sliced almonds
  • topping of your choice e.g. blackberries and blueberries

Anleitungen
 

  • Put the oats in a pot together with the water and a pinch of salt and bring it to a boil. As soon as the porridge is cooking, lower the heat and let it simmer for another one or two minutes.
  • To make the gingerbread porridge stir in the protein powder and the spice mixes and gradually add a dash of egg whites (or milk). Pour into a bowl and spread the hazelnut butter over it, then top with some fresh fruit.
  • For the speculoos oatmeal also add the vanilla protein powder and the corresponding spices with some egg whites (or milk). Roast the almond slices in a non-stick pan and add a pinch of cinnamon. Finally, top the porridge with the roasted almonds and some fruit.
